Next Night in deep sleep:
C: Hi, welcome back Ajay. How are
you tonight?
M: I am fine but I haven’t understood
what you meant when we had this discussion:
[ M: Yes,
a little more maybe than what I did before. But If You are myself, how is it
that we are having this dialogue in 1st place as we are two
different beings?
C:
Ha, Ha, Ha.
Dear Ajay, that is because you consider yourself to be Ajay.]
M: What did you mean? If I am not Ajay,
then WHO AM I? and who is Ajay?
C: Calm down, slow down, take a deep
breath dear. You are considering yourself as ‘Ajay’ means You are considering
yourself to be this body known as ‘Ajay’ in your world. In your world, this
body will fade away one day, it will cease to exist as it used to be. For your world,
this is ‘Death’! End of existence. Everything in this Universe is seemingly mortal
(one day meant to die, fade away, cease to exist), but
nothing really dies or fades away or ceases to exist. It just changes its form
or shape. It is only that it ceases to exist in the form you have been seeing it.
So, everything in this Universe changes it never remains the same. It recycles.
This whole Universe is the sum- total of its components, the components change
their forms but the Universe remains the same. Nothing is added or nothing is subtracted.
It is always in balance, it is always in equilibrium. It Is always whole,
always complete. Newton was close when he deduced the Law of conservation of
Energy1.
The
law of conservation of energy
states that the total energy of an isolated system remains constant—it is said
to be conserved over time.
Energy can neither be created nor destroyed; rather, it transforms from one
form to another. Another example is in the shanti mantra of ‘Ishopanishad’
. It is more profound and all-encompassing and more relevant to our discussion
here –
Auṃ pūrṇamadaḥ pūrṇamidam
pūrṇāt pūrṇamudacyate
pūrṇasya pūrṇamādāya pūrṇamevāvaśiṣyate
oṃ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ
pūrṇasya pūrṇamādāya pūrṇamevāvaśiṣyate
oṃ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ
But more regarding the above sometime later. For now, it is just fine
to remember for now that –
“Nothing really dies or fades away or
ceases to exist. It just changes its form or shape. It is only that it
ceases to exist in the form you have been seeing or knowing it. So, everything
in this Universe changes it never remains the same. It recycles. It continues
to exist in a different form.”
‘Change’ is the
keyword here. Everything in this Cosmos as you see it, changes, but ‘YOU’! You,
don’t change. You have been eternally unchanging and will always remain unchanged
because, despite being in this Cosmos you are not seen. You are colorless, Odorless,
tasteless, bodyless, weightless, subtle yet infinite. You are not matter, yet
without you this Cosmos is incomplete. You are the driving force of this cosmos.
Without You there is no Cosmos, there is nothing. YOU are its Consciousness. YOU
are ME & I am YOU. So, YOU are not ‘Ajay’ but now, here in this world, you
are referred to as ‘Ajay’. ‘Ajay’ is your Ego.
M: You say that ‘Ajay’ is my Ego3 and not me.
You say that I am the Consciousness of this Universe/Cosmos. I am YOU. Then what
exactly is this Ego & why do I wrongly identify myself with it?
C: Ego is basically a projection of sum-total
of your wants, desires and aspirations of the past, present and future. This
projection creates a unique personality. This person or personality is what then
you identify with and are known to the world as. In your case the name of that
personality is ‘Ajay ‘.
M: This stuff is a little heavy for me to
digest at one go can you elaborate more on this?
C: Yes of course my dear, but its soon
going to be morning and you will have to awaken to your world to attend to the
matters of your world. So, we will speak on this the next time we meet, till
then you should contemplate on what I have told you so far & what have you learned.
I
will meet you soon again ……….
